STAT 252 Statistics Programming

This course covers advanced statistical programming techniques including data wrangling, data visualization and hypothesis testing using R. Topics of this course include R syntax, input and output in R, data visualization, interactive data graphics, data wrangling, tidy data, and hypothesis testing in R. This course builds on the knowledge learned in STAT201.

Learning outcomes

General

  • Understand the syntax of the statistical programming language R.
  • Conduct hypothesis tests using the statistical programming language R.
  • Generate statistical analysis reports with the correct formats using the statistical programming language R.
  • Explain the output from a statistical analysis generated by the statistical program both orally and in written form.
  • Generate confidence intervals using the statistical programming language R.
