Biography
Michelle Palmborg is an associate professor at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Augsburg University in May 2019 and has been a registered nurse since January 2011, with experience in acute care settings, including emergency and oncology.
Her passion for global health has driven her to conduct research around the world. Committed to cultural humility and reducing health disparities, she encourages nurses to become citizen nurses. Recently, she and Dr. Carolina Fernandez-Branson received the Seed Coalition's Presidents' Award for Civic Engagement Leadership. Dr. Palmborg also presented alongside Minnesota Governor Tim Walz at a 2020 press conference on COVID-19 initiatives and continues to advocate for health and wellness in her community.
