Amy Gort

Biography

As provost and executive vice president of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Amy Gort facilitates, nurtures, coordinates and supports the efforts of deans, faculty, staff and students to meet institutional goals and priorities.

She is responsible for strategic leadership to the Academic and Student Affairs division which includes six colleges (Community Studies & Public Affairs, Individualized Studies, Liberal Arts, Management, Nursing and Health Sciences, and College of Sciences, School of Urban Education, Library and Information Services,) Student Affairs, and the Center for Educational Innovation.

She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her MS and PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Gort lives in Apple Valley, Minnesota.
