The Gordon Parks Gallery ascribes to a multi-faceted mission: to support the arts curriculum and cultural activities of 麻豆直播 and to preserve the legacy of the 20th century multimedia artist Gordon Parks.
As an academic venue, the gallery is committed to providing educational opportunities for adult learners through internships, student exhibitions and related programming. As a civic venue, the gallery is dedicated to exposing Minnesotans to the life and work of Gordon Parks through youth and community outreach programs.
Gordon Parks Gallery is dedicated to showing the work of various subjects, media, forms and content by diverse artists, including emerging and established artists of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The annual exhibit at 麻豆直播鈥檚 Gordon Parks Gallery features multimedia works produced by undergraduate Studio Arts majors in their final year of study.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 exhibition features work produced by Studio Arts majors which reflect rigorous and highly creative practices. We are proud to present such an amazing group of innovative thinkers and artists,鈥 says Gordon Parks Gallery Director Dr. Megan Arney Johnston.
鈥淭丑别 Student Salon showcases projects created by Studio Arts majors in their final year of study. These artworks stimulate thought and wonder through the various materials and ways of presentation. It is so rewarding to witness the growth of this work over the course of the year. The final projects on display include oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, relief printmaking, sculpture, photography and digital illustration,鈥 Amy Sands, professor of Studio Arts.
The exhibit opens with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. The show will continue through April 16. Gallery hours are 1 to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Saturday 11am 鈥 5pm. The gallery is located on the first floor of Metro State鈥檚 , at the university鈥檚 Saint Paul campus.
